Working Foreman (Lead Fitter)

What will you do?

As a Working Foreman / Lead Fitter, you fabricate, assemble and inspect high-quality piping and structural components in the workshop. You interpret technical drawings and translate them into practical work while ensuring quality and safety requirements are met.

Alongside hands-on fitting, you lead the workshop team, allocate work and monitor schedules and progress. You coach colleagues, provide technical advice and ensure materials, tools and personnel are used efficiently. Your technical and leadership skills help deliver projects for the energy and maritime industries.

What do you bring?

Completed MBO level 4 qualification, for example in engineering management
At least seven years of experience as a fitter, including two to three years as a lead fitter and one to two years in a supervisory role
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
VCA-VOL, emergency response (BHV), VT-2 and practical trainer certificates, or willingness to obtain them
Coaching ability and strong communication skills
