Organization

The Marine Company (DMI) of the Royal Navy in Den Helder is responsible for the maintenance and overhaul of a variety of maritime equipment. In a permanent team, you will work on small vessels that are used for Marine Corps amphibious operations and boarding teams. These vessels contain advanced technology and require craftsmanship and precision.

Job description

As a mechanic, you are responsible for the maintenance and overhaul of these vessels. You work with high-quality mechanical and electronic systems and ensure that they function optimally. In this position, teamwork is essential and you are expected to work accurately and according to agreed guidelines.

Job requirements

We are looking for a passionate technician with:

• A completed course in Mechanical Engineering

• A basic safety certificate (VCA)

• A valid Statement of Conduct (VOG) — this will be arranged in consultation with you

• A flexible and accurate working attitude

• Team spirit and good communication skills

• Willingness to learn and open to feedback
