Job description

As a pipe fitter, you are responsible for installing pipes on board new-build ships. You work with one to fourteen inch pipes, including cooling water, exhaust and ballast pipes. You ensure accurate installation, sealing and preparing pipes for the welder. You also carry out tests to ensure quality.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Installation of pipes on board new-build ships.
• Stitching pipes with welding electrodes.
• Burning with gas and oxygen.
• Ensuring a neat finish and testing pipes.
• Maintaining tools and work materials.

Job requirements
